still going strong at this hour. rain delays, right now the yankees are ahead 3-2 after a home run while we're hoping for a rally in game one. all night with the fans around the ballpark, joining us live. >> we're outside the stadium. usually this is a hot bed of excitement but it's been pretty quiet. folks are inside watching the game but we can hear the excitement coming from the stadium. even though we can't see what's going on. even though it rained didn't stop folks from sharing their hometown pride with us. it was a soggy start to the first game in the al division series and mother nature was the reason for the more than two hour game delay. but by 8:40 it was time to play ball. the first pitch was thrown out by tonl victim in the perry hall high school shooting. he was joined on the mound by jesse, the faculty member who tackled the gunman on that first day of school. he didn't have much to say afterwards. >> that was awesome. >> there was nonstop cheering for the hometown team. many of these fans were little kids in 19 97 and barely remember what it's like to see the orioles play
